After an extraordinary 50-year tenure, our esteemed colleague and friend, Will Comerford, is retiring from his role as a State Farm agent in the Vail Valley. Our professional relationship spans decades, marked by collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to our community. Beyond our business interactions, Will is also a mentor. I have personally entrusted Will with my insurance policies, a testament to the trust and confidence I have in him and his team.
Beyond his professional achievements, Will has been a cornerstone in our local nonprofit sector. Wendy and Will have dedicated countless hours to organizations such as the Vail Valley Charitable Fund, which provides crucial assistance to community members facing medical crises. Will’s unwavering support and leadership have been instrumental in driving the success of these initiatives, reflecting his deep-seated belief in community upliftment.
Wendy Sapuntzoff, the office manager and Will’s partner, is integral to the Comerford Agency’s success. Wendy’s dedication and readiness to assist clients have made her an invaluable asset, especially during our interactions with SteamMaster. Her professionalism and warmth embody the spirit of being “more than a good neighbor.” Clients consistently praise her for her helpfulness and expertise.
The Comerford Agency’s commitment to the community is further exemplified by its competent and friendly staff, who collectively bring over 80 years of insurance experience. This team’s dedication ensures clients receive consistent, high-quality service, maintaining the agency’s esteemed reputation.
As Will and Wendy retire, we are grateful for their decades of service and community involvement. Their professionalism, friendly demeanor, and genuine care have left an indelible mark on all who have enjoyed working with them.
I encourage those whose lives have been touched by Will and Wendy’s dedication to reach out and share their appreciation directly. You can contact them via email at willa.comerford@gmail.com

Looking ahead, we warmly welcome Ben Caton, who will take over the agency. We are confident that Ben will continue the tradition of exceptional service and community involvement that Will and Wendy have established.
