The most common drying system used in the industry. This system will typically consist of equipment placed inside the water damaged structure. Then using the structure itself to contain and dehumidify the excess moisture. Common equipment in this system include: Air Movers, Dehumidifiers, Desiccants and/or TES/E-TES heating systems.
Tenting is a “Target Drying” technique that is offered as an alternative drying method when dealing with water damage typically concentrated but saturated within a material.
Direct Air Drying System
One example of a Direct Air Drying System would be an Injectidry system. Commonly used on hardwood flooring, the system can be also used as a wall drying system that is minimally invasive and disperses the air directly into the wall cavity.
